Who was the man that inspired you to become a singer?
ANSWER:
I don't know who inspired me, maybe my dad, he was always singing around the house when I was a kid. I loved watching Elvis Presley too when I was young and later Michael Stipe of REM.

ANSWER:
When I was in school back in Ireland I sang in the choir...back in the innocent days...haha

ANSWER:

ANSWER:
When I started they did not really support me but some of them now do, it's a hard things for some people to understand.

What kind of music you think you can follow best?
ANSWER:
Not sure exactly what you are asking here, if you are asking what kind of music do I like, all kinds really everything from Beck to Leonard Cohen and The Who.

What is the song that express you best?
ANSWER:
Of my own songs I would have to say "A Little Piece of Happiness" of my new CD 'distractions', I think thats all I want from life...

With which singer you are dreaming to collaborate in the future?
ANSWER:
Good question, I think I could do a good collaboration with Erykah Badu or Hope Sandoval.


QUESTION:
What are the elements that you believe that a singer must have in order to succeed?
ANSWER:
A good voice with a good range and a lot of depth and soul and a huge amout of perserverance.


QUESTION:
You have opened a youtube channel on 31 July 2011 (http://www.youtube.com/user/andrewhandrick). In which way do you believe this will help you in your career?
ANSWER:
Well I think all exposure is good exposure and youtube is a good way to connect with people and fans wether it be through music videos or video blogs or live reocrdings, there are many ways it can help in promoting music and ideas to people around the world.


QUESTION:
What is the best and the worst moment of your career until today?
ANSWER:
Best moment was the first time I got up on stage to sing as breaking through the fear of getting on stage is a big deal, but there are many great moments, every time someone sends me a message to tell me how much my songs mean to them or how my songs have helped them in some way, they are all great moments. As for the worst moment, well I had to take a year off from playing my music due to some personal issues and that was the worst time as I love to sing and play my songs and it was very hard not to be able to do what I love.

Do you like classic music? And if yes who is the favorite composer?
ANSWER:
I like all kinds of music and yes classical but I would not have a favourite composer as such, and a lot depends on the mood I am in or where I am.


QUESTION:
What is your biggest dream that you have not accomplished yet?
ANSWER:
Good question... musically I suppose as an indpendent artist and the fact that I self fund all my own reocrdings etc... I have never really had the money at my disposal to go into a really great studio with a great engineer and producer and record my music to the best of my creativite abilities.. but it will happen someday...just a matter of time...

What are your hobbies?
ANSWER:
I like art and make various handmade pieces in enamel and copper. I also like to design and paint pottery. I like photography also.

ANSWER:
Honest, outspoken, spiritual.

What is the worst fear of your life?
ANSWER:
Not being able to do what I am on this planet to do, which I believe is write and perform my songs..

What can we wait from now on to see in your new Youtube videos?
ANSWER:
I am working on a new video to the title track off my latest cd 'distractions', and I hope to have it shot and edited early next year.
